President Trump asked World Cup soccer officials to review the red card suspension charged against Folarin Balogun, the U.S. team’s star striker. The organization reversed its decision and allowed Balogun to play against Belgium. Belgium won the match, 4-1, and celebrated by playing the Village People’s “YMCA” in their locker room while doing the President’s familiar dance moves to the song.

Pope Leo is a fan of the Blues Brothers. In fact, one day, he attended an event wearing sunglasses and a fedora–and his clerical collar. You decide: Could he pass for one of the Blues Brothers?

Ted likes to buy me a single rose now and then. The first time he did that, we’d only been married for a few weeks. I asked him what the occasion was. His answer: “It’s Tuesday.” It’s always nice to see a rose from him when I’m not expecting it, and this recent one was no exception. Even the card that said “I love you” was typical and both lifted my spirits and made me smile, as always.

I kept the card on my desk for awhile to savor the happy memory. Today, I decided to go through the pile of papers on my desk because it’s getting pretty high and I don’t remember most of of what’s in it. I found the card from the rose and laughed out loud when I turned it over.

I’m pretty sure Jarod, the technician who left this card for us, does not love me. I guess Ted didn’t get a card from the florist, so he just grabbed this one from where Jarod laid it on the countertop. It doesn’t matter–he loves me and I love him too. ♥
